Citizenship Classes

LVCA offers beginner and intermediate level, small-group citizenship classes throughout the year. Classes vary in length and subject. Classes are open to anyone within the community who is within two years of applying for US citizenship. 

As new class schedules are released, we will post them here.

Early Fall Class Schedule

Tuesday Evening Citizenship Classes
Topic: Civics Questions, Part A

This will be an intermediate level class. We will learn about the Civics questions in the first half of the textbook called Citizenship: Civics and Literacy. If you can make a donation toward the cost of the book, we appreciate it.

When: August 25 - September 22
Day & Time: Tuesdays, 6:00 to 7:00 pm
Number of classes: 5 (August 25, Sept. 1, Sept. 8, Sept. 15, Sept. 22)

Thursday Morning Citizenship Classes
Topic: N-400, Reading & Writing, Part B

This will be an intermediate level class. We will learn more vocabulary for the N400 interview questions, and practice reading and writing for the Citizenship test. You do not need to take the N-400, Reading & Writing Part A class before taking this class. 

When: August 27 - September 24
Day & Time: Thursdays, 10:00 to 11:00 am
Number of classes: 5 (August 27, Sept. 3, Sept. 10, Sept. 17, Sept. 24)
