Citizenship Classes

LVCA offers citizenship classes throughout the year. Classes vary in length and subject. Classes are open to anyone in the community who is within two years of applying for U.S. citizenship. 

For the Zoom class, you can sign in using a phone, iPad, or computer. You can also use a computer in our office to join classes. 

New Students and students who have not taken classes with LVCA in the past year: Before the class starts, you will need to have a one-hour meeting to fill out our registration forms and take an English test. You can come to our office for the meeting, or we can meet on Zoom. After you register for the class, we will contact you to schedule your meeting. 


Spring Citizenship Classes - Starting the Week of April 24

Intermediate Level Citizenship Class

We recommend Intermediate classes for students who are in Level 2 or higher.

In-person Option:

  • When: April 24 to May 24 (5 weeks)
  • Day: Mondays & Wednesdays
  • Time: 9:30 am to 12:00 noon
  • Where: The Jefferson School City Center, Room 133

Zoom Option:

  • When: April 25th to June 22nd (9 weeks)
  • Morning and Evening options:
    • 9:00 to 10:15 am OR
    • 6:45 to 8:00 pm
  • Students can take both classes or one class: 
    • Tuesdays: English for the Interview
    • Thursdays: Civics - 100 Questions

Basic English Citizenship Class

We recommend Basic English class for students in Level 1 or lower.

In-person only: 

  • When: April 27 to June 22 (9 weeks)
  • Day: Thursdays
  • Time: 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.
  • Where: The Jefferson School City Center, Room 133
