Citizenship Classes

LVCA offers beginner and intermediate level, small-group citizenship classes throughout the year. Classes vary in length and subject. Classes are open to anyone within the community who is within two years of applying for US citizenship. 

As new class schedules are released, we will post them here.

Mid-Fall Class Schedule

We are offering four citizenship classes beginning the week of October 5th, and ending the week of November 3rd. Each class will be one hour per week for 5 weeks. These are intermediate level classes. Learners may sign up for as many classes as they would like. All classes will be held on Zoom.

N-400 Reading & Writing Classes
These will be intermediate level classes. We will learn vocabulary for the N400 interview questions, and practice reading and writing for the Citizenship test. 

N-400 Reading & Writing: Part A
Day & Time: FRIDAYS, 10:00–11:00 a.m.
When: October 9 – November 6

N-400 Reading & Writing: Part B
Day & Time: WEDNESDAYS, 5:30–6:30 p.m.
When: October 7 – November 4
Where: Zoom on your phone or a computer


Civics Classes
These will be intermediate level classes. We will learn about the Civics questions textbook called Citizenship: Civics and Literacy. If you can make a donation toward the cost of the book, we appreciate it.

Civics Class: Part A
Day & Time: TUESDAYS, 3:00–4:00 p.m.
