Mini-Conference 2025

You are invited to our annual mini-conference, a day of presentations and connections for LVCA tutors and other adult educators from around the state. Your registration fee includes presentations, morning refreshments, and lunch. Together, we will explore ways to continue serving our students! Topics include:

  • Lunch presentation on the current state of immigration from Alyson Ball, a local immigration expert
  • Accessible and engaging approaches to reach all learners (Universal Design for Learning) with LVCA Communications Coordinator Rebecca Thomas
  • Strategies for Grammar at All Levels with LVCA Program Manager Steven Reid
  • Incorporating Field Trips into Lesson Plans with LVCA Citizenship Coordinator Catherine McCall
  • Engaging Students in Conversation with LVCA tutor and TJACE instructor Charlotte Harmon
  • Community Partner Presentations:
  • Level-specific breakout sessions and additional opportunities throughout the day to meet other tutors and share ideas
  • And a variety of other workshops!
